DC Shopian flags off Eco Guide trekkers
Shopian: Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yaseen today flagged off the Hirpora Eco Guide trekkers from here.
The Hirpora Namdansar Trek is the sole major trek in Pir Panjal mountain range, a sub mountain range of Himalaya Mountains.
The trek starts from the Peer Ki Gali to Namdansar, the main attraction in Shopian known as the apple bowl of Jammu and Kashmir.
The trekkers expressed happiness at the administrations endeavour for providing them hassle free registration and necessary support.
Trekkers said that “They are making this trip for conservation of Markhor and brown bear which are in these dense forests.
These trekkers said that they want to create awareness among the neitizens and people living in these places as how to conserve the species and boost tourism for their livelihood and greater economy.
