DC Udhampur asks telecom companies not to install mobile towers without permission

Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib today warned mobile service providers not to install mobile towers without permission.
She asked the telecom companies compliance to adhere Jammu & Kashmir communication and connectivity infrastructure Policy (JKCCIP) regarding the installation and regularisation of Mobile towers (telegraph/telecom infrastructure) in the District.
DC Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib stated that under this new policy, Deputy Commissioner shall be the appropriate authority and will be the single contact person for all clearance /letter of intent (LOL).
In this regard, all the applications from the service providers will be received in the DC office. She informed that the process for grant of permission shall be completed within 60 days. The DC warned service providers and public not to install mobile towers without prior permission of District Administration.
