DCDRC B’la starts full functioning to mark ‘National Consumer Day’
So far 70 Litigations/Cases registered, 10 taken up on starting day for proceedings: President DCDRC
BARAMULLA : Keeping the interest of general consumers on top priority, the recently established District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCDRC) has started its functioning to its fullest by initiating the proceedings on 10 litigations/cases on its starting day.
According to President DCDRC, since inception the commission has received over 70 litigations from different consumers and today, where the entire nation celebrates National Consumer Day, the Commission has started its full proceedings in order to mark the occasion.
It is worth here to mention that, Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the constitution of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions in the Union Territory and in Baramulla, district Consumer Redressal Commission was established at Government quarter B3 Khawaja Bagh Baramulla for timely and effective settlement of consumers disputes.
Earlier, the DCDRC Baramulla issued a prior informative notice wherein it was informed that all the litigants whose cases were pending disposal before the erstwhile District Consumer Protection Forum Baramulla were informed to contact the concerned department on 21st November 2022 in connection with their pending cases and subsequent hearings.
