DDC Chairman, DC Doda listen to the grievances of locals at Chirala

 

DODA : District Development Council Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh Kotwal and Deputy Commissioner Vikas Sharma today listened to the people’s issues here at Public Grievances redressal Camp under the aegis of Good Governance week 2021 campaign here at Chirala Block of sub division Thathri.

Local public representatives raised scores of issues seeking filling of vacancies in education institutions, execution of quality work on Chirala road, improvement in mobile network connectivity, payment of land compensation, MGNREGA liability, functioning of sanctioned bank branch, creation of police post, Start of RTC bus service, Ambulance facility, shifting of wires from wooden poles, provision of solar panels, promotion of local tourist places etc.

The DDC Chairman and DC Doda gave a patient hearing and several issues were resolved on the spot and directions for time bound redressal for rest was issued to the concerned departments.

At the outset, the DDC Chairman Doda urged the locals to take maximum benefits out of the schemes initiated for their individual well being, besides asking them to collectively resolve their issues with PRI members and Officials for the speeding up development process of their respective areas.

He also asked the public representatives to submit the proposals for roads so that the same are projected for NABARD funding.

With regard to the complaint about poor quality work on the Chirala road, the DC said that an enquiry will be initiated in the matter.

Regarding poor mobile connectivity in the area, the DC directed the SDM to take up the matter with the service providers and asked the management to streamline the services.

Regarding the pending payment of construction material under MGNREGA, the DC directed the SDM to coordinate with the verification Committee and submit the report to the DC office immediately for time bound redressal.

The DC has directed the SDM to organise a mega camp at the central location to encourage and cover maximum unemployed youth under “Berozgar Se Swarozgar ” program and other self-employment schemes.

Among others present during the program were DDC member Chirala, SDM Thathri, ACD Doda, AC Panchayat, CAO, CHO, CAHO, DSWO, CMO Doda, Tehsildar Chirala, BDO Chirala, BDO Thathri, Ex En REW, Ex En PMGSY, besides other officers and local representatives of the area.
