DDC Chairman, Judges, BDCs, Sarpanchs, Panchs, advocates administered 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Budgam

 

Budgam : Principal District and Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Budgam, Raja Shujhat Ali Khan along with Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam, Dr. Tajamul Hussain and BMO Headquarter Dr A.G Raina today kick started vaccination drive for 45 years and above at court complex Budgam.

The process of administering Covid-19 vaccine was organized by District Administration under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza.

The vaccination drive simultaneously also commenced at various designated session sites across the district in which more than 3500 persons received covid-19 vaccine today.

Speaking on the occasion, the PD&SJ appreciated the role of frontline Warriors of Health Department engaged with the vaccination process and other Covid-19 containment related engagements for their courage and relentless efforts in mitigating the spread of this pandemic to a large extent.

It is pertinent to mention here that around 68 Persons including Judges, lawyers and other staff got vaccinated on 1st day of this programme at court complex Budgam.

Khan after getting vaccinated himself appealed General public to come forward and get vaccinated as early as possible without any fear and apprehension as it is safe.

Meanwhile, DDC Budgam Chairman, Nazir Ahmad Khan along with some PRI representatives also received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine at District Hospital Budgam.

As per CMO Budgam arrangements were made at across district Budgam where around 600 persons vaccinated include BDCs, 114 Sarpanchs, 471 Panchs workers got vaccinated for covid -19. Similar arrangements were also executed at PHC Soibugh where many PRI workers got their first shot of Covid-19 vaccine, the same process was also held at other designated session sites.

He said that the Vaccination drive started from the court complex, elaborate arrangements are put in place at all other session sites where vaccination for the persons of the age group of 45 years and above is going on in full swing.

The CMO during the process appealed General public not to pay any heed to rumors or misinformation. He said the public should come forward and get vaccinated as it is safe and secure, having no side effects.
