DDC Chairman takes stock of developmental scenario in Rajouri district at Council meeting

Assures full cooperation of Councillors in resolving bottlenecks impeding dev works

 

RAJOURI : District Development Council Chairman Rajouri, Naseem Liyaqat today reviewed the developmental scenario of the district here at a joint meeting of the public representatives and officers held in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak bungalow.

Among the others, DDC Member Rajouri, Sain Abdul Rashid; DDC Member Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma; DDC Member Plunger, Parveen Akhter; DDC Member Dhangri, Tazeem Akhter; DDC Member Kalakote, Anita Thakur; DDC Member Darhal, Iqbal Malik; DDC Member Thanamandi, Abdul Qayoom Mir and DDC Member Dhangri, Rameshwar Singh attended the meeting.

President MC Rajouri, Mohd Arief; BDC Chairperson Rajouri, Darbar Chowdhary; BDC Chairperson Darhal, Mohd Aslam; BDC Chairperson Qila Darhal, Khalid Firdoz; BDC Chairperson Nowshera, Bodh Raj and BDC Chairperson Budhal Old-A, Javed Iqbal Chowdhary; BDC Chairperson Doongi, Raiz Chowdhury; BDC Chairperson Seri, Nina Sharma; BDC Member Siot, Balkrishna Sharma were also present in the meeting.

The meeting discussed the performance of different departments under District Capex, JJM, BADP, PMAY, MGNREGA, SAMAGRA, ICDS, CRF, B2V, 14 FC, SEHAT, IWMP, PM KISAN, KCC, Soil Health Card, Poshan Abhiyan and other welfare programmes being implemented in the district was held threadbare in the meeting. The Chairman asked for bringing in council’s notice the bottlenecks hampering developmental works so that the same can be cleared timely for larger public interest.

The DDC Chairman asked the concerned officers to speed up the tendering of the works approved under District Capex Budget 2021-22 for early execution and timeline completion.

Regarding the poor female literacy rate, the DDC Chairman asked the concerned officers and public representatives to take concrete measures to enhance the percentage in the district.

For the enlistment of registration of ‘D’ class contractors for Panchayat level works, the DDC Chairman asked the concerned officers to complete the process at the earliest.

The progress on the houses being constructed under PMAY-R and PMAY-U was also reviewed and the concerned officers were asked to accelerate the pace to complete the work within the shortest possible time.

The DDC Chairman also exhorted the Executive Engineers of PWD and PMGSY to mobilize additional men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame with productive and appropriate utilisation of the available resources.
