DDC Chairperson Kathua reviews implementation of District Capex Budget Plan 2021-22

KATHUA : District Development Council Chairperson Kathua Mahan Singh took review of the works approved under District development plan Capex Budget 2021-22 here at a meeting held in the DC office complex, the other day.

Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Yadav, DDC Vice Chairperson, Raghunandan Singh, ADDC Puneet Sharma, CPO Uttam Singh, DDC members and concerned Officers were also present.

The DDC Chairperson took sector wise review viz status of the ongoing works, process initiated to seek technical sanction, administrative approval of new works, status of tendering and allotment of approved works etc.

The Chairperson called upon the DDC Council members to personally monitor the progress of the works in their respective constituencies. He also called for timely execution of works without compromising the quality of the work.

He urged all the DDC members and District officers to work as a team and coordinate with each other for successful execution of the District Development Plan as per the spirit of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj.

The Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav asked the members to focus on speedy execution for achieving maximum targets in a given time frame. He called upon the members to put forth any deficiency or gaps so that timely action can be initiated to take corrective measures.

He suggested that some projects shall be taken up in convergence mode to get tangible results in a stipulated time period.

During the meeting, the DDC members submitted a resolution to the DC seeking exemption of Toll tax for the locals at Lakhanpur , for it being a long pending demand of the people of Kathua.

Later, Rahul Yadav distributed kits containing literature related to Guidelines, Powers and duties of DDC members and PRIs.
