DDC Doda launches Nasha Mukht Bharat Campaign

Doda: District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today launched Nasha Mukht Bharat Campaign in the district, here at the Independence Day function.
The initiative was launched with signature campaign in the presence of senior civil and police officers.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the ill effects of the toxic substances, and said that drugs not only affect the health but also destroys the career of the addicted person.
He appealed the people of the district to come forward and join the campaign against the use of toxic substances. He advised the young generation of the district to take part in healthy sports to stay away from bad habits like drug abuse.
According to District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed the campaign will continue till March 2021 and during this period different activities including debate, poster/painting competition, essay writing competitions will be organized to aware the youth about the hazards of this menace.
He said that all these activities would be conducted online keeping in view the Covid-19 safety measures. Apart from this, a survey of the vulnerable areas would be done and those involved in drug menace will be shifted to rehabilitation centres for treatment, he added. The campaign would cover all the Panchayats across the district.
