DDC Doda reviews progress of work on GMC Campus
DODA : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda,Vikas Sharma today reviewed the physical progress of the works of building the Government Medical College Campus.
The meeting held threadbare discussion with regard to creation of dedicated sub-station, separate water supply scheme, sanitary fitting, fire safety equipment fitting, fitting of lifts, besides other critical components.
The DDC directed the executing agencies to work in double shifts and manage the manpower to complete the fire fitting and lift fitting on a war footing basis.
With regard to the dedicated water supply scheme, the concerned Executive Engineer apprised that the tendering of the project has been done and the same will be allotted to the concerned contractors to start the work as per the terms.
The DDC directed the concerned authorities to get it done on a war footing basis, besides asking them to start the work as soon as possible, as it is the critical component keeping in view the smooth functioning of the institution.
While reviewing the creation of a separate sub-station for the GMC, the Ex En STD stated that the work on the same will be started soon after the land leveling is done by the PWD.
The DDC directed both the agencies to jointly submit the project requirements in detail by Monday covering all the critical components.
The meeting was attended by Principal GMC, SE PWD, CPO Doda, Ex En PDD, PWD, PHE, STD, Deputy Director GMC, besides other concerned officials.
