DDC Doda reviews progress on Power Infrastructure projects
DODA : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda,Vikas Sharma today reviewed the progress of work on Power infrastructure projects in the district here at a meeting of the Power development department and representatives of executing agencies.
The projects taken up under different centrally sponsored power reform schemes are being executed by Shalaka Infra Tech Pvt Ltd and Transrail pvt Ltd in rural and urban areas of the district, respectively.
The meeting was informed that Shalaka Infra Tech Pvt Ltd has been allotted 255 habitations with 260 stations. Out of which 54 stations have been handed over and 44 stations are completed which shall be handed over soon.
Other stations are at different stages of execution like poll erection, stringing, poll head loading etc. it was further informed that out of 168 works, 36 haven’t been started yet. It was further informed that 49 transformers of total requirement are pending at procurement level.
Taking strong cognizance of the matter, the DDC directed the AEE concerned to review the stock availability and directed the concerned to procure the rest of the transformers immediately.
While reviewing urban station projects being executed by Transrail Pvt Ltd, the meeting was informed that against 32 stations to be augmented in Doda and Bhaderwah towns, work on only 5 stations have been completed till date.
Discontented on the performance, the DC pulled up the executing agency for extremely dismal progress.
The PPD Project Wing was directed to establish the headquarter at Doda and not leave the station without prior permission.
The DDC directed all stakeholders to mobilise men and machinery for the timely completion of all the power projects..
He instructed the concerned officers to resolve the issues of availability of sites for urban Stations, if any and expedite the augmentation of allotted stations in both the towns as mandated in the contract.
The DDC further directed the concerned to submit the progress of work on electrification of 88 un-electrified habitations in the District.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SE JPDCL Kishtwar-Doda circle, Ex En EM&RE, STD, AEEs besides Officials of Shalaka Infra Tech and Transrail Pvt Ltd.
