DDC Doda reviews working of Child protection& women welfare institutions

Doda : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vikas Sharma, today reviewed the functioning and activities of Integrated Child Protection Services (ICPS), Childline, Mahila Shakti Kendra and One Stop centre, here at a meeting held in mini meeting hall of DC office Complex.
The DDC asked the concerned to enhance reach, awareness and capacity of functionaries dealing with the Child protection and women welfare at block and village level.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the district heads of these institutions to formulate a joint awareness and publicity Calendar and reach out to every Panchayat of the district for effective implementation of the children and women welfare schemes.
Earlier, DCPO, Zubair Ahmad, apprised the meeting about the functioning of ICPS. He informed that any child in need of care and protection and children in conflict with law can call on toll free number 1098 and within the shortest possible time these children will get help.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda; District Child Protection Officer; Central Administrator, One Stop Centre, Chairperson CWC, District Coordinator Child Line, Women Welfare Officer beside other officials of Childline, OSC, ICPS and MSK.
