DDC inaugurates B/U of J&K Bank at Wussan, Ganderbal

 

SRINAGAR : Extending banking and financial services further into rural areas of the UT, J&K Bank today opened a new Business Unit at Wussan in Ganderbal district.

With this addition, the number of business units in Ganderbal district has reached 23 and the total number of such business units of the Bank reached to 959.

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna inaugurated the business unit in presence of the Bank’s Zonal Head Kashmir (Central – 2) Tabassum Nazir, LDM Ganderbal Nissar Ahmad Bhat, and Heads of business units in the vicinity besides a gathering comprising of traders and prominent citizens of the area.

Thanking the Bank’s leadership for increasing the outlets of banking and financial services in the under-banked areas, DDC Ganderbal urged the participants and the people of area at large to avail finance and other services of the Bank especially the government sponsored schemes, which are tailored to create more employment opportunities for the educated, energetic youth.

The sole objective of this expansion in our touch-points is to make finance and other banking services easy, accessible and affordable for the people in general and locals in particular, said Zonal Head on the occasion.

She said Customer convenience and extending support for creation of self-employment opportunities for youth shall remain focused areas as prioritized by the Bank’s leadership.

Many more such business units are slated to be commissioned in the coming months in the zone, she added.

The participants lauded the efforts of the Bank and thanked the Bank’s leadership for establishment of a much needed branch in the area.
