DDC inspects progress of work on Government Medical College Rajouri
RAJOURI : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today visited upcoming Government Medical College Campus and inspected the progress of work being executed by the Public Works Department.
The Superintendent Engineer PWD (R&B) informed that the work on the Administrative and Academic blocks is complete in all respects, while the work on the hostel block is likely to be completed by the end of February this year.
Inquiring about the progress on the establishment of an exclusive power substation for the GMC, the concerned officer apprised that the tenders have been floated and the work on the project would be started soon.
The DC also reviewed the progress on the water supply scheme for the GMC and the concerned informed that the DPR for the same has been submitted which envisages development of two sumps.
The DDC also inspected classrooms, labs and asked the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in and around the GMC building.
He also asked to complete the process for formal handover of the GMC building so that the classes for the students can be started at the earliest.
ADDC, Pawan Parihar, GMC Principal GMC, SE PWD, SE Jal Shakti accompanied the DDC during the visit.
