DDC Kishtwar discusses proposals for CAPEX plan – 2022-23
Asks for all-inclusive projections reflecting public needs, priorities
KISHTWAR : To discuss and finalise the Capex plan for the financial year 2022-23, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of concerned district officers and discussed the projections of different departments.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Sham Lal; Joint Director planning Mohd Iqbal; ACD Atul Dutt Sharma; DPO Sunil Bhutyal; ACP Zakir Hussain Wani, XEns besides other district and sectoral officers of line departments.
The District Development Commissioner reviewed the status of the formulation of plans by departments and asked them that projections should reflect the public needs and priorities. He said that the plan must be formulated as per the wishes of the people.
He furthermore stressed on the optimum utilization of funds besides exhorted upon the officers to prioritize the nature of work to be taken up during the next fiscal year in complete conformity with the actual requirements on ground to avoid any wasteful expenditure.
Besides, he stressed the formulation of a multilayer perspective plan that will yield maximum benefits to the public. He also asked for projecting only those works/projects which are free from any disputes/litigations and could be completed within the financial year.
Several other aspects were also discussed during the meeting and it was decided that the works programme/plan shall be submitted by Monday (14th March 2022) for further course of action.
Meanwhile, the DDC Kishtwar also reviewed the functioning of the Jal Shakti Department and took stock of the water supply schemes taken up last year.
He directed the XEn PHE to speed up the pace of work on various ongoing Water Supply schemes to ensure their completion in stipulated time.
Laying stress on the 100 percent saturation of the unconnected habitations in the district, he stressed to project the new Water Supply schemes under Jal Shakti project in the coming FY.
He also reviewed the availability of the water supply in the Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas, and directed XEn PHE to take augmentation measures to avoid crisis during the ensuing summer season.
The XEn PHE was also directed to weed out the illegal water connections in the district to streamline the deficiency of the water. The AEEs and JEs of Jal Shakti Department were directed to regularly monitor the execution of the ongoing works to ensure completion within set time.
