DDC Kishtwar flags off 2nd phase distribution of Immunity Booster (Ayush) Medicines
Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara today flagged off mobile Van to carry out the second round of distribution of Immunity Boosters (Ayush) medicines across the District.
The immunity boosters are to be distributed by ISM (AYUSH) in collaboration with Health Department through Mobile Medical Unit Kishtwar.
District Nodal Officer ISM (AYUSH), Dr. Taraq Hussain informed that the second phase will cover the areas lacking ISM dispensary, while the Immunity Booster (AYUSH) Medicine would be distributed to Frontline Workers and Senior Citizens among the vast population of the densely populated District.
The aim of the department is to cover 100% population of Senior Citizens, frontline workers, Officer and Officials who are working day and night to combat the spread of virus. The Immunity Booster medicines develop strong immunity against the deadly virus, he added.
In the first phase, Immunity Booster (AYUSH) Medicines were distributed to frontline workers/ Police officer and officials, CRPF, CISF, all departments of Mini-Secretariat Kishtwar, all quarantine centers, Senior Citizens, District Hospital Kishtwar (Doctors and paramedical Staff), employees of Municipal Committee Kishtwar, BDO offices, PRIs etc.
The total beneficiaries covered in the Ist phase were 22268–which started from April 4, 2020 and ended on June 30-2020.
Additional District Development, Hanief Malik; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ravinder Manhas; besides Medical and para medical Staff of CMO office and ISM were also present at the flagging off event.
