DDC Kishtwar inspects land for Solid Waste Management Plant, Slaughter house

Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara today inspected various sites on the outskirts of Kishtwar town for establishment of Solid Waste Management Plant and Slaughter house in the Town.
He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Amir Hussain, President Municipal Committee, Riyaz Ahmed Zargar, Executive officer Tariq Balwan, XEN R&B (PWD) Mohinder Kumar and other officers/Officials.
The DDC visited the lower Hasti and Nagni area of and inspected the feasibility of establishing the solid waste Management plant there.
After discussing the technical feasibility of the sites, he directed Executive Officer Municipal council Kishtwar to invite a technical team from the Urban Development Department to study the location. “After assessing the feasibility, submit a report so that matter can be taken up with higher authorities at an earliest” he directed the EO.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining hygiene and safe disposal of waste amid COVID-19 pandemic, DDC said that these projects are of outmost importance and shall be completed on war footing basis.
