DDC Kishtwar reviews progress on Capex Budget, Languishing scheme and B2V projects

 

Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today reviewed the progress on projects taken up under district Capex Budget, languishing scheme and B2V programme, here at a meeting.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik; Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch besides district officers and Executive Engineers of the concerned departments.

The DDC reviewed the sector wise physical and financial status of the developmental works undertaken during 2020-21.

At the outset, the Joint director Planning informed that Rs 258.53 lakh has been utilised under the regular schemes till the end of Feb. 2021 as against Rs 619.31 lakh released so far. He further informed that an amount of Rs 18175.54 lakh out of the sanctioned amount of Rs 19176.85 lakh under the centrally sponsored schemes (central share) besides Rs. 20.03 lakh out of Rs 20.95 lakh (UT share) has been utilized so far.

The DDC directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of developmental works for their timely completion.

The DDC asked the concerned officers to utilize available funds under the CAPEX budget by March 2021 end judiciously and without compromising with the quality of work.

Special thrust was laid on the prioritised works which includes construction of sub centres at the Gulabgarh, Ligri, Drabshalla and Sigdi undertaken by PWD.

All district officers were asked to update the database on their respective websites and maintain updated Dashboard and upload the photographs of B2V and MGNREGA works pre and post completion.

Executive Engineer PHE was directed to take up the matter of using available pipes in the departmental stores with the higher up for the restoration of Water supply Schemes.

Detailed review on the progress of the identification of land for construction of playgrounds by Youth services and Sports Department was also held in the meeting.

The DDC Kishtwar directed all the district officers for timely disposal of public grievances. He also took department wise review of disposal of grievances projected during the LG Mulaqat and forwarded to the districts for timely response from the concerned authorities and asked the officers to ensure disposal of grievances within 15 days of receiving. It was informed that 235 grievances were received till date out of which 184 have been disposed, while 51 are under process.

The DYSSO was asked to chalk out the calendar for conducting one activity in each week during the ongoing 75-week long “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and identify the persons who had contributed during freedom struggle and felicitate him/her.

The Chief Medical Officer and Chief Education Officer were asked to conduct IEC activities for spreading awareness about precautionary measures against COVID-19 especially in the schools.

He further advised all to wear masks, wash hands frequently and maintain social distancing to keep this viral disease at bay.

The CMO was asked to make provisions for the vaccination of all the PRI members above 40 years and the persons above 45 years of age and also increase the vaccination points across the district.

LDM Kishtwar, DSWO Kishtwar and CEO were asked to work in tandem for the Aadhaar seeding of accounts of various beneficiaries.

On the issue of punctuality of staff in the offices DC Kishtwar directed all officers take stringent action against officials absentees and implement the no work no pay order principle of “sine die non”.

He further directed the district officer to hoist the national flag on all the government buildings and establishments following set protocol and procedures.

Progress on the Implementation of the FRA, Mumkin scheme and other beneficiary oriented schemes were also reviewed in the meeting.
