DDC Kishtwar seeks cooperation of people ahead of Ramadan
Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh Tara today conducted a meeting to finalize the arrangements of essential commodities besides ensuring the maintenance of the COVID-19 protocol ahead of the holy month of Ramadan which is going to start from tomorrow.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar, SDM Chatroo, Inderjeet Parihar, Chief Medical Officer, R S Manhas, President Municipal Council Kishtwar, Mohammad Riaz Ahmed Zargar, representative from Shaura-e-Majlis and Auqaf kishtwar and other District officers were present in the meeting.
Detailed review of arrangements regarding uninterrupted supply of power, essentials items, food, water, sanitation were made in the meeting and directions were passed to the concerned officers to ensure that all facilities are provided to people while maintaining the social distancing and other COVID-19 SOPs.
DDC Kishtwar directed the AD, FCS&CA to ensure adequate supply of food essentials like milk, meat, vegetables and LPG during this month long fasting period besides directed him to check the quality of foods, over changing and hoarding.
He further directed the Executive Engineer PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply during this month especially during Sehri and Iftaar hours.
He asked Executive Officer Municipal Council Kishtwar to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene and sanitization of streets of the town and also the areas around mosques.
Furthermore, DDC said that a nodal officer will be designated to coordinate and facilitate all the activities related to the Ramdan who shall act a single point of contact and will facilitate redressal of grievances of people through help lines.
DDC asked for the cooperation of all the religions leaders and the general public in maintaining the social distancing and universal usage of masks during this holy month.
He also asked the religious leaders to educate the people to pray from their own homes and avoid mass gathering in mosques to contain the spread of corona virus.
