DDC Kulgam kick-starts World Water Week programme, flags-off IEC vehicle

Kulgam: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today kick started world water week programme here by flagging-off, a vehicle carrying posters, banners to sensitize people about the importance of conserving and preserving water and water resources.

At the outset, the DDC said that preservation and conservation of water and water resources is our collective responsibility and every individual has to play a proactive role for this noble cause.

While highlighting the importance of such programmes, the DDC said that main aim and objective of such programmes is to sensitize people to preserve and conserve water and water resources which if neglected can cause serious threat to life.

It was informed that through-out the week multifarious activities will be carried out for which the activity calendar has been prepared.

Present on the occasion were, SE Hydraulic Circle Anantnag/ Kulgam, Ex Engineer Jal Shakti Division Kulgam and other officers.
