DDC Kulgam reviews functioning of MCs

Kulgam: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today convened a meeting here to review the functioning of Municipal Committees of the district.

The DDC while addressing the functionaries said that the Municipalities play vital role in development, sanitation and beautification of towns. He directed the concerned to ensure that they remain ahead in all the three fronts.

During the meeting, the DDC took a detailed review and progress registered so far under various Urban Development schemes including PMAY (U), District CAPEX, revenue realization, Waste management, SBM etc.

The EO’s informed the DDC about the functioning of the Municipal Committees. They also apprised about the availability of machinery and manpower.

It was informed that revenue realization of Rs, 96.44 lacs has been made in all four Municipal Committees during the current fiscal year.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, JD-Planning, Exen R&B, ULB Chairpersons and members, EO’s and other Officers.
