DDC Kupwara chairs PM FME meeting; 11 cases approved

 

Kupwara: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din today chaired a meeting of District Level Committee under Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Processing Enterprises(PMFME).

The meeting discussed various issues relating to the structure and success of different units under PMFME and approval of beneficiaries/ cases in district Kupwara.

As many as 14 cases were put up for discussion. These include units of Manufacturing of Food Products, Tomato, Honey and walnut processing units, Band Saw, Rice Sheller and Manufacture of shooks, edible oil and spice.

The committee discussed threadbare various issues relating to the structure and success of different units and approved 11 units.

The DDC directed the concerned officers to coordinate with District Lead Bank Kupwara and resolve the bottleneck relating to financial implications.

The DDC also directed them to make correct exercise while preparing DPRs of various projects so that banks and approving authorities take appropriate action on time.

It was also informed in the meeting that 6000 honey colonies are registered in Kupwara district, which generates a good revenue for its unit holders.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, Joint Director Planning, Abdul Majeed, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, AMO- P&M, District Lead Bank Manager, other concerned officers and various beneficiaries were present in the meeting.
