DDC Poonch holds interaction with BDC chairpersons, DDC Councilors
Poonch: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Indeer Jeet today held an interaction with BDCs Chairpersons and District development Councilors here at Conference Hall of DC office.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinod Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan were also present.
This was the maiden interaction organized by District administration with BDCs and DDC members to listen to the issues pertaining to their respective constituencies/ blocks besides to acquaint them with their role and responsibilities with the establishment of full three tier Panchyati Raj institutions.
During the interactive session, the DDCs & BDCs highlighted issue of larger public interest like pending payment of PMAY houses, payment of MG NERGAs works, payment of Bunkers, reduction in unscheduled power cuts, holding of regular awareness camps at far-off places of different DDCs constituencies /CD Blocks, They also drew the attention of the administration towards various social issues, including fast spreading drug abuse.
The DDC members also demanded clarity in warrant of precedence/ their protocols. They demanded residential accommodation and offices, involvement in plan formulations, monitoring and supervision of development works falling in their respective domain. They also called for face to face interaction with district and sectoral officers and corruption free system in all government offices and institutions.
The Deputy Commissioner gave patient hearing and passed directions to ACD to address the issue of pending payments.
He also assured the District Development Council that transparent and responsive administration will be ensured, while adequate infrastructure would also be provided to cater to their needs.
The SSP also spoke on the occasion and assured the public representatives about good policing eradication of drug menace.
