DDC Poonch reviews implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission
Poonch: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)- the centrally sponsored programme aimed at providing tap water to every rural household.
A threadbare discussion was held in connection with the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, including status of tendering and administrative approval of Retrofitting schemes, coverage action plan for providing water facility to remaining HHCS in the district and several other issues of Public importance.
The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department apprised the chair about the progress achieved under the JJM. He informed that 60 tenders have been floated under-serviced tendering conditions. He also briefed the chair about the status of administrative approval of different schemes.
The DDC directed the concerned Officers to tender all the approved schemes within one week and seek the Administrative approval of the remaining schemes.
The DDC also exhorted upon the officers to work in tandem to achieve desired results within the stipulated time frame.
The District Development Commissioner assured all possible support in the effective implementation of the mission in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Rashid Chowdhary; DFO, Poonch Mohan Lal; SE Hydraulic; Xen PHE, Rajinder Kumar; AEE, Amarpreet Singh and other concerned Officers.
