DDC Pulwama inaugurates Snow Run at Sangerwani

Pulwama: District Youth Services and Sports (DYS&S) Pulwama in collaboration with the district administration today organized a Snow Run here at Sangerwani.
District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer, who was chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the event.
As many as 250 students from Sangerwani and adjoining villages participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that sports activities teach qualities of leadership, team spirit, tolerance and has an important role in developing values, mutual trust and sportsmanship among the youth. He added sports is emerging as a career in current times and can be the best option.
While appreciating DYS&S for organizing such an event in the district, the DDC said that such events will be organized in other parts of the district so that the local youngsters will be able to explore their sports talent.
Later, the DDC distributed awards among the students who bagged first three positions in the event.
SP Pulwama Ashish Mishra, District Sports Officer Syed Noor ul Haq, officers from security forces and other concerned and a large number of people were also present on the occasion.
