DDC Pulwama visits various Panchayats of Aripal, Tral
Pulwama: On 5th day of the Back to Village Phase-III programme, a series of activities were carried out in 56 Panchayat Halqas of 11blocks of the district here.
Visiting Officers took stock of the status of work done of demands raised in B2V1 and B2V2 held during 2019. They also listened to the demands of the public.
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer visited Panchayat Halqas Aripal, Syedabad,
Zowastaan, Narestaan , Gulistaan, Gulshanpora, Syedabad, Batagund and Satoora and listened to the peoples issues and demands.
The DDC inaugurated a computer lab in Higher Secondary School, Satoora and a play field in Batagund besides inaugurating a series of sporting events in scores of Panchayat Halqas.
He asked the public to take advantage of B2V3 and enlist their demands as this programme is an initiative of Governance at the door steps of the general public.
The DDC during the visit asked the public to identify their priority works that can be forwarded for next year’s district plan under various centrally/ state sponsored schemes and identify two educated youth for financial assistance under PMEGP for entrepreneurship. He also asked for identification of deserving students who will be provided financial assistance, uniform and books.
In all the three Panchayat Halqas, DDC inspected the stalls installed by different departments and enquired about the grievance redressal mechanism being adopted to the satisfaction of the public.
He distributed sporting kits among school children, income and domicile certificates among the applicants and also handed over Baby Kits to newly born girl children under BBBP besides, distributing sanction letters under Ladli Beti scheme and wheelchairs, hearing aids, walking sticks among the persons with disabilities.
During the event school children displayed various sporting activities like Martial Arts, Chess competitions, Soft ball and Tug of war.
