DDC Rajouri reviews action taken on issues raised during public outreach camp at Sunderbani

 

Rajouri: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan, on Friday convened a meeting with the concerned officers to discuss with them the public issues and demands raised during the public outreach camp held recently at Sunderbani subdivision.

The meeting was attended by the ADC Rajouri, Sher Singh; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACR, Mohd Ashraf; SE Jal Shakti Department, SR Shukla; GM DIC, Manzoor Hussain; PO ICDS; Kartar Singh; ACD, Sushil Khajuria, DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; DFO Nowshera, Suresh Manda; DFO SF, Rakesh Kumar; Executive Engineers of PWD, PDD, Jal Shakti Department , PMGSY besides the other district officers.

The major issues discussed in the meeting include resurfacing of the Kalideh Kuldabi Road; augmentation of water supply; replacement of old and obsolete water pipes and taking over the old building of Milk Chilling plant, opening of J&K Bank Branch at Tehsil Beripattan; pending PMAY and MGNREGA payments; FRA issues, illegal attachment of health staff and other related issues.

The DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the action taken on the issues. The officers briefed the chair about the same.

The DDC advised the concerned officers to be proactive while dealing with the public demands and issues and take best possible steps to ensure that all genuine grievances are redressed in a time bound manner. He also asked them to ensure the cent percent involvement of the PRI members in policy making process.

The DDC directed the Executive Engineers PWD Rajouri and Nowshera to submit the list of the works on which double shift work can be done. He also asked them to ensure the uninterrupted material supply for such works so that the projects can be completed within the shortest possible time. Besides, the DDC also asked the concerned officers to start the work of filling the potholes within three days and complete the same in fifteen days.

The Jal Shakti department was asked to repair ten hand pumps per day and submit the report in this regard on a daily basis. He also asked the department to submit the list of all the hand pumps in the district which need repair.

The Chief Agriculture Officer was directed to establish a fertiliser centre at Thandapani, while ACD was asked to complete all the works of the financial year 2019-20 within the shortest possible time so that necessary benefits are provided to the common masses with the completion of these works.

The DFO Nowshera was asked to identify the forest land which is under illegal occupation and take stern action as per rules against such encroachers. He was also asked to speed up the pace of verifying the claims received from the Panchayats under FRA.

Regarding the issue of illegal attachment of the staff of the health institutions, the DDC directed the Chief Medical Officer to initiate inquiry into the matter.

The DDC also asked the PO ICDS to make all the Anganwadi centres functional in the district.

Similarly, necessary directions were given to the other concerned officers about the issues pertaining to their Departments and they were asked to redress all the genuine grievances in a time bound manner.
