DDC Rajouri reviews functioning of Social Welfare Department

 

RAJOURI : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the functioning of the Social Welfare Department and implementation of various departmental schemes.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Pawan Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; PO IWMP, Parveen Akhter; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; AD Planning; Mohd Rafi; WWO, Dr Anum Mirza; Administrator OSC, Nitu Sharma and other concerned officers.

The meeting was informed that 46848 persons are provided monthly pension in the district, while a list of 8234 applicants has been submitted for approval.

The DDC stressed to cover all eligible beneficiary students under the Pre and Post Matric scholarship schemes.

The DDC asked the MSK to contact all the women pension beneficiaries to make sure that they are getting their dues on time.

While reviewing the distribution of Identity cards and sanction of pension to the transgender in the district, the DSWO apprised that 04 persons are getting pension while Identity cards who have also been provided Identity Cards.

Reviewing the functioning of the One-Stop Centre and MSK, he asked to spread awareness about the facilities available at the twin institutions for the empowerment of women and their welfare.

Taking stock of the functioning of the Bal Ashrams and Nari Niketan, the DDC asked the concerned officers to make sure that all the required facilities are provided to the inmates residing there.
