DDC Rajouri reviews status of formation of cooperative societies

RAJOURI : “Cooperative societies play an important role in self-employment generation activities and boosting the economy of the district said District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal while chairing a meeting of the concerned officers to review the status of formation of cooperative societies, and functioning of the Cooperatives Department in the District.

Addressing the officers in the meeting, the DDC said that strengthening of the Cooperatives and revival of the Cooperatives societies is the need of hour and Department should strive hard for the revival and strengthening of the Cooperatives societies and Department respectively.

He also highlighted the role of Cooperative in the socio-economic upliftment of rural areas and emphasized the need for the formation of new Cooperatives by involving more and more unemployed educated youth.

The DDC also said that cooperative societies can play an important role in self-employment generation activities and boosting the economy of the district.

Detailed discussion on developmental deliverable targets of the department were also held in the meeting.

The DDC directed the officers to meticulously pursue the relevant timelines and deliver results within the already set deadlines.

Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; Deputy Registrar Cooperative societies, Antar Singh and others concerned officers.
