DDC Rajouri reviews tendering process for transportation of ration

 

RAJOURI : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned committee members to discuss the progress in the tendering process for the transportation of the food grains to the doorsteps of the fair price shops by the Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs.

Officers who attended the meeting included ACD, Sushil Khajuria; SE PWD, CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ARTO, Shami Kumar Sharma; AD FCS&CA, Mohd Arif Lone; ExEn PMGSY Rajouri, Subash Chander and ExEn PMGSY Budhal, Abdul Gani.

During the meeting, the Assistant Director FCS&CA apprised that the four technical bids have been received and one bidder qualifies the requisite criteria.

Keeping in view the need for timely transportation of the food grains to the fair price shops to facilitate the public, the DDC asked to go for re-tendering so that maximum number of bids are received to make it more competitive so that tenders are allotted to the successful bidder who qualify the required criteria.

Inquiring about the number of fair price shops functioning in the district , the AD FCS&CA informed that there are 10 Departmental food Stores from where the food grains are being transported to 473 fair price shops of the District and this transportation plan will ensure prompt and hassle-free supply of food grains.
