DDC Rajouri visits G&B Girls hostel, interacts with students, listens grievances

Rajouri: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today visited Gujjar and Bakerwal Girls Hostel Rajouri in Chowdhary Nar area and interacted with students and listened the grievance.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sher Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohammad Ashraf, Deputy Director Planning Bilal Mir, Administrator OSC Women, Neetu Sharma, Women Welfare Officer, Anum Mirza and other concerned.
Hostel warden and students briefed the DDC about prevailing scenario of the hostel with students demanded provision of geysers in the washrooms and a proper power backup system to check affect on their students due to power curtailment.
DDC announced to provide two geysers for hot water availability in the hostel besides also announced to provide a double battery high power inverter to ensure a proper power backup mechanism in the hostel. He also asked the students to work hard for success in life. Later, quilts were distributed among the girls inmates of the hostel. The Programme was organised by Mahila Shakti Kendra Rajouri in association with Sakhi-One Stop Centre Rajouri under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
