DDC Reasi flags off awareness Van to mark World Water Week 2021

Reasi: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Indu Kanwal Chib on Tuesday flagged off an Awareness Van from the DDC Office Complex to mark the World Water Week-2021.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the week will witness a massive campaign on water conservation across the district with the involvement of Jal Shakti Department, RDD and PRIs. He said during the campaign the people will be made aware about the importance of freshwater and the need to save this precious gift of nature.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the under Jal Shakti mission every household would get tap supply in the district and for this several measures were being taken.

The DC listed several water supply schemes taken up in the district to augment supply of safe drinking water. He said Jal Shakti Department has been asked to ensure timely completion of all Schemes and repair of the old hand pumps.
