DDC Reasi visits Shiv Khori: Inspects progress of development, Pilgrim-Friendly works

 

REASI: District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan, also the Vice Chairperson of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, conducted an extensive tour of the Shiv Khori area today. The purpose of the visit was to assess the ongoing developmental works and the establishment of high-end tourist facilities around the Shrine area.

During the visit, the DDC discussed upcoming projects aimed at enhancing the experience for pilgrims visiting the Holy cave shrine. He also paid his obeisance at the Holy Shrine.

Accompanied by other concerned officers, the DDC inspected the progress of different works in the shrine area, particularly focusing on the facilities for pilgrims. Subsequently, he issued directions for the development of a pilgrim-friendly track and improved public conveniences.

Furthermore, the DDC instructed the Executive Officer of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board to construct a permanent barricade extending from the checkpoint to the shrine cave. Additionally, a segregation shed along the path leading to the shrine cave was planned to be created.

Notably, the District Development Commissioner issued firm directions to the relevant departments to take decisive action against the use of single-use plastics in the shrine’s vicinity. This directive aims to impose a ban on single-use plastics while simultaneously maintaining cleanliness along the path to the shrine and its surrounding area.

Accompanying the Deputy Commissioner were Executive Officer SSKSB Pardeep Kumar, Tehsildar Pouni Naresh Kumar, and other concerned officers.
