DDC releases 3 Publications highlighting Socio-economic profile of Kathua District

KATHUA: Three vital publications highlighting the socio- economic profile of Kathua district were today released by District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav here at a simple book release function held in his office.

The Books released were District Statistical Hand Book, Block Statistical Hand Book and Economic Review for the year 2018-19.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atul Gupta; Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh; District Statistics & Evaluation Officer Kathua, Ranjeet Thakur and other Staff members of DSEO Office, Kathua were present in the release ceremony.

District Statistics and Evaluation Office Kathua is the Nodal Agency for collection, compilation and dissemination of important statistical data in the District. The data contained in these publications will serve as an important tool for the researchers, Planners, Students and other users in their respective fields.

After releasing the publications, the DDC hailed the efforts of field functionaries in collection of data and stressed on improvement of these publications in future with regular updating and wide coverage. “This data is of great importance as it will be used by all stakeholders like policy makers, planners, students and researchers” he said.

He also announced that the publications will be made available in public domain and citizens can download the same from the Official Website of the District Administration, Kathua.
