DDC reviews PM Jan Kalyan Yojana, Aatam Nirbhar Bharat Scheme in Kathua

Kathua: Deputy Commissioner, O.P Bhagat, today chaired Special District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC) meeting to review progress on PM Jan Kalyan Yojana and PM Aatam Nirbhar Bharat Scheme in the district.
DDC reviewed the progress on coverage of eligible farmers under both the schemes viz, PM Jan Kalyan Yojana and PM Aatam Nirbhar Bharat Scheme.
Meanwhile, DDC also convened DCC/DLRC meeting for the quarters ended December 2019 and March 2020 to review flow of credit, performance of banks in key areas relating to deposits, advances under priority sector, government sponsored schemes, lending for the quarter ended December 2019 and March 2020 besides performance of RSETI, Kathua.
He took stock of CD ratio, cases under PMEGP, KVIB/ KVIC / DIC / NULM, NRLM, Handloom / Handicraft, PMAY with special emphasis on credit linkage of beneficiaries under these schemes.
The DDC emphasized upon banks to simplify the systems and procedures and clear all the pending cases within seven days so that maximum beneficiaries are credit-linked under various schemes for generation of employment among the needy. He advised all banks to focus on awareness programmes for dissemination of information to general public/farmers/skilled persons so that they are facilitated to set up new units of economic activities. He impressed upon the banks and line departments to ensure effective coordination in their working. He desired that potential under Agriculture and allied activities be exploited fully to achieve the benchmark of 18%.
The Chairman exhorted upon the banks to exploit all resources at their disposal and come out with concrete action plan to increase present CD-ratio of 43% considerably to achieve the national benchmark of 60%. He advised to adopt Hiranagar block of Kathua district under DIGIDHAN MISSION. He further emphasized to organize “KISSAN PAKHWADA” from 1st July 2020 to 15th July 2020. He directed all bank branches to form at least 5 SHGs in their jurisdiction by 30th June 2020 and help the poor women.
The Chairman advised all banks to cover maximum number of persons with 100% penetration under social security schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and to issue RuPay Debit Cards to all eligible a/c holders, thereby initiating the process of DIGIDHAN Mission.
The DDC also advised to organize special awareness camps for social welfare schemes with the active participation of banks.
Earlier, LDM Narain Singh presented the achievements under Annual Action Plan for the year 2019-20 ending December 2019 and March 2020. He informed that Rs. 755.20 crore have been disbursed under priority sector and Rs.755.75 crore under non-priority sector, thereby recording 91% achievement of ACP as on 31.03.2020. Further, under social security schemes 149625 accounts have been opened under PMJDY, 5168 individuals have been covered under Atal Pension Yojana, 39829 individuals under Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, 65799 individuals under Suraksha Bima Yojana and 17233 accounts have been opened/financed under PMMY as on 31st March 2020.
Later, DDC chaired a Local Advisory Committee (LAC) meeting of RSETI Kathua.
Director RSETI Aklesh Raina, discussed achievements of RSETI for the quarter ended December 2019 and March 2020. He informed the house that during the year, 21 training batches were conducted wherein 536 candidates were trained. He also informed that during the year, 602 candidates were settled achieving 112% settlement and credit linkage of 77%. He said that RSETI has organized 8 Sensitization and 136 Awareness Camps during the year in different places of the district.
