DDC Samba reviews progress under District Capex budget, B2V, BADP, languishing projects
Samba: District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, today chaired a meeting of district officers to review progress achieved under District Capex Budget, Border Area Development Programme, “Back to Village programme” and languishing projects in the district.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, Assistant Commissioner Development, Sidharath Dhiman, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. R Samyal, Chief Education officer, Kulwant kour, Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD, R&B, District Youth and Sports Officer besides other concerned officers.
DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements of Education, Health, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD, Youth Services and Sports, Health, Animal Husbandry and other departments under district plan.
While reviewing progress of line departments, the DDC stressed upon taking concrete steps to complete ongoing projects at the earliest. He emphasized for projecting detailed action plan under BADP for the year 2020-2021. He also reviewed progress on different works recommended under Back to Village programme, Languishing project scheme and directed the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the same.
DDC also had detailed discussion on construction of PMAY houses, implementation of Mid Day Meal scheme, development of sports infrastructure in the district, functioning of newly constructed girls hostel, different water supply schemes, major projects of PWD and RDD.
District Horticulture Officer was asked to furnish a detailed plan of action for tapping horticulture potential, including marketing strategies and establishment of Mandis in the district. He was asked to submit a feasibility report in this regard within a week’s time.
DDC, while exhorting upon the district officers to work proactively to attain the desired results, asked them to report the latest status of developments works being executed in the district along with photographs.
