DDC Shopian Inspects Developmental Works
Shopian: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today asked concerned executing officers of R & B to speed up the developmental tempo in the district especially in far flung areas and ensure completion of all on-going works within the stipulated time frame during his visit to Awneera, Kralacheck, Faisal, Hydergund, Imam Sahib villages, besides inspected Girls Hostel and Sub District Hospital (CHC) Zainapora and NTPHC Taki Imam Sahib Shopian.
He directed them to take all necessary measures for maintaining the quality standards in construction works.
He also directed them to ensure regular inspections of works and submit the inspection reports to the higher authorities.
The DDC was inspecting on-going developmental works of the R & B department in several villages of Zainapora of the district. He was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zainapora, Mushtaq Ahmed, and other concerned officers.
During the visit, the DDC inspected Girls Hostel, Zainapora and directed the concerned for early fencing of the Hostel within a stipulated time frame. The works which were inspected include construction, macadamization and widening of roads and link roads and Protection Walls.
He directed the concerned engineers to speed up the pace of work and ensure completion of the ongoing developmental works within the stipulated time frame so that the people of the area could be benefited.
The DDC also took stock of restoration work on Kralacheck, Awneera road, the work on which is going on speedily and directed the concerned to gear up men and machinery to complete the said road within a fixed time.
He asked the concerned engineers for completion of the restoration of the road on priority basis.
During the visit, the DDC met several public delegations who put forth various developmental issues of their villages before him.
The DDC heard them patiently and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the public issues.
Later, DDC inspected Sub District Hospital (CHC) Zainapora, interacted with the patients, enquired about the healthcare facilities being provided to them and directed the hospital authorities to ensure and better medical facilities to the people at an earliest and within possible shortest time. He also took stock of the ongoing construction work of NTPHC Taki Imam, Imam Sahib.
