DDC Shopian reviews preparedness for smooth conduct of B2V-III
Shopian: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review preparedness for phase-III of “Back to Village” programme in the district commencing from October 02.
The meeting decided that the B2V-3 shall be conducted in all 9 blocks of district.
On the occasion, the DDC stressed for maintaining close coordination among various departments for achieving the desired results under the said programme.
The DDC laid emphasis upon all district officers to raise awareness among the locals so that the Government’s objective of taking governance at peoples doorsteps is achieved.
He said that the purpose of conducting programmes like Jan Abiyaan and Back to Village is to strengthen the roots of public service delivery in a transparent manner at the doorsteps of people living in far flung areas.
He added that the government is committed to cover every citizen under the galaxy of welfare programmes aimed at enhancing their standard of living.
The DDC directed the concerned Liaison Officers to closely monitor the visit of officers scheduled to visit the district during the B2V3 programme and coordinate all matters with them to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the missionary programme across the district.
DDC stressed upon the officers to strictly follow the COVID-19 advisories and guidelines in letter and spirit and emphasized for maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks and other SOPs to avoid the spread of virus.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, all the district and sectoral officers and nominated liaison officers besides, other field staff attended the meeting.
