DDC Shopian reviews progress of works under B2V programs
Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, S K Vaishya today impressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the pace of work taken under Back to Village (B2V) programme, so that they get completed within the stipulated time frame.
The DDC said this during a meeting of district officers to review the progress on works approved under Back to Village programs in the district.
CPO informed the chair that 112 different works have been taken in hand in all panchayats of the district in which 94 works stand completed under B2V1 and B2V2.
The DDC directed the concerned to complete all the works before 6th of March, 2021 physically and 15th March, 2021 financially.
On the occasion, the DDC sought a detailed account of various ongoing works approved under Back to Village programs from the concerned officers who briefed him about the physical and financial progress on such works.
The meeting also discussed the status of work estimation and tendering process of the works approved under B2V2 and B2V3 program.
The DDC directed the concerned to complete the work estimation process in current month besides initiate tendering process on all such works which are approved under B2V2 and B2V3 so that works are taken up at an earliest. He also stressed for regular monitoring of works and directed the officers to meet the targets and set timelines for the completion of vital projects in the district.
He called upon the concerned officers to ensure maximum cooperation for effective implementation of development activities in the district.
Among others the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Information Officer, Executive Engineers of KPDCL, PHE, R&B, and Irrigation besides others concerned.
