DDC Shopian tours various areas; takes stock of developmental works

 

SHOPIAN : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumr Vaishaya today visited various areas of the district including Ziyarat Sharief Arhama, Arshipora, to take first hand appraisal of progress on developmental works.

During the visit, the DDC met Auqaf Committee members of Arhama, interacted with them, listened to their issues and demands and assured for redressal of their issues within a time bound manner. He also visited Ziyarat Sharief Arhama.

Vaishya directed the concerned officers for development of park at Arhama, inspected the maintenance of road work, repairs of lanes and by-lanes, drainage system Arhama, leveling of Playing Field at Arshipora Shopian and directed the concerned authorities to expedite the pace of ongoing developmental works to ensure timely road connectivity to the area.

He said that District Administration is always on forefront in making all out efforts to restore the connectivity to all the areas.

Earlier, the DDC conducted surprise inspections of main town Shopian and Bona Bazar to ensure mask wearing and adopting of other SOPs like maintenance of social distancing, sanitization, proper hand washing.

During his visit to main market Shopian, Vaishya directed Secretary Municipal Committee Shopian for sealing of seven shops in violation of Covid-19 SOPs.

Vaishya asked the concerned to take concrete steps for development of Ziarat-Shariefs, Playing fields etc to facilitate the devotees and general masses of the district.

The DDC also directed the District Officers to work in a collective and responsible manner for redressing the issues of the people who have great expectations with the Government. He directed them to pace up the speed of work to ensure the timely completion of these works and also to follow the COVID related SOPs at work places.

Chief Planning Officer, Shopian Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, besides other concerned officers accompanied the DDC during the visit.
