DDC Udhampur reviews fire safety measures in hospitals, Nursing homes
Udhampur: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla today reviewed fire safety measures in hospitals and Nursing Homes here at a meeting with officers of concerned departments.
At the outset, Assistant Director Fire and Emergency Services, Anuroop Sharma, apprised about different fire safety measures and fire detection and prevention system required in the health institutions and other establishments.
The DDC asked AD Fire and Emergency Services to guide all institutions to meet the fire safety measures and get these measures installed and conduct fire safety audit after 15 days.
The DDC stressed on to ensure that proper fire safety measures are put in place in all the buildings, including hospitals and nursing homes in the district. He further asked the Fire services department to frame a fire evacuation plan for DDC Office complex also. The SDRF& Fire services were also asked to conduct a training/awareness camps, conduct mock drills for fire rescue operations for staff members of the health department and volunteers at block headquarters.
Jal Shakti Department was asked to install hydrants in the town in consultation with the fire services department.
Among others present were District Information Officer, Er Sajad Bashir Somberia, Tehsildar Head Quarter, Aarti, Chief Medical Officer, Dr K C Dogra, District Health Officer, Mohammad Yaseen, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Vijay Raina, Dy SP Civil Defence and other officers of concerned departments.
