DDC Udhampur reviews functioning of FCS&CA department

Udhampur : The functioning of Food Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs (FCS&CA) department was today reviewed by District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla here at a meeting.

At the outset, Assistant Director FCS & CA, Arif Lone briefed about the implementation of different schemes in the District. He informed the Aadhar seeding of ration cards has been raised four fold during the current fiscal year- from 33% last year to 100%.

He further added that about 2000 remaining ration cards which were over and above the electronic public distribution system (EPDS) portal were updated to ensure distribution of ration at genuine and poor level.

The AD was asked to mobilize the men and machinery for effective implementation of all schemes and coverage of 100% eligible beneficiaries.

The DDC instructed FCS & CA Department to gear up the process of Aadhar Seeding of deactivated Ration cards and check the pilferage and reach out to all beneficiaries in a transparent manner. He asked the AD FCS & CA to remain in touch with the people, pay regular visits and organize camps in all the remote and far-flung areas so that the people can avail maximum benefits of these schemes.
