DDC visits Trehgam, Vilgam, Ramhall blocks of Kupwara; Chairs public darbar at HSS Ramhall

Kupwara: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din today visited various blocks of the district, inspected government offices and chaired public delegations

At Villgam, the DDC visited Primary Health Centre to inspect the ongoing COVID vaccination process, RNTCP Dot Centre and X Ray section. It was informed that COVID vaccination process was started today in the PHC. The DDC also took stock of an old PHC building that had got damaged in a fire incident in the past and assured its renovation.

The DDC chaired a public darbar at Higher Secondary School Ramhall in which officers, PRIs and a large number of people participated.

On the occasion, the DDC was apprised about the developmental issues besides issuance of Ration Cards to new households. The DDC heard the grievances of the public patiently and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for their timely resolution.

While addressing the public darbar, the DDC said that the objective of todays visit was to inspect the offices for resolution of public grievances.

He added that the primary focus of the government is to make the health and education system vibrant which are the basic contributors in building a sustainable nation.

He said that the district has a registered load of 80 MW power supply but the peak demand goes beyond 220 MW which gives a difficult time to the Power department to mitigate the issue. He urged the people for judicious use of electricity to ensure its smooth supply.

Earlier, the DDC paid a surprise visit to several government offices including BDO office Trehgam, R&B, Agriculture and ZEO Office. He inspected the attendance of the staff working in these offices and directed the concerned officers for time bound resolution of genuine public grievances.

During the visit, the DDC also inspected the Kralpora Bridge where recently 03 persons lost their lives in a tragic car accident and directed for immediate installation of safety walls around the bridge.

The DDC during the visit was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development and CMO Kupwara.
