Debate competition on Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan organised at DIET Kishtwar

KISHTWAR : As a part of month long campaign under Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, a Debate competition on Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan was today organized here at DIET Kishtwar on the directions of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.

Pertinent to mention that Several departments including School Education department has been given the task of performing activities as per the given calendar and DIET Kishtwar too organized the debate on the same theme.

Ashok Kumar, Principal DIET Kishtwar was the Chief Guest of the programme and Pramila Sharma, HoD DIET was the guest of honour, while as Farooq Ahmed, Raiz Ahamed Giri and Humaira Ayub Sr. Lecturers were the jury members and speakers.

Scores of students drawn from Government and private schools took part in the debate and spoke against the prevailing drug menace in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal DIET stressed the youth to strictly follow the protocol issued by the Government regarding keeping themselves away from such menace. He further impressed upon them to avoid bad habits which will not only put their lives but the whole society at risk.

The Programme was successfully managed by G.A Mughal DRG, DIET- the overall in charge of Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan for DIET Kishtwar.

First and 2nd positions were bagged by students of Girls HSS Kishtwar, while third position was bagged by a student of Green model high school Kishtwar.

Farooq Ahmed and Riaz Ahmed Giri, both senior officers of DIET Kishtwar, briefed the participants about the importance of such programmes and encouraged and felicitated them with suitable mementoes.
