Debate contest at Department of Business Administration

 

Aligarh : Final year business administration student, Onaiza Sultan was declared the winner of the debate on ‘Academic Excellence has been Hindered with the Increased Usage of Electronic Devices’ of the Literary and E-Magazine Committee, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

She spoke against the motion.

Navjot Kaur (B. Com, second year) and Amaan Beg of the Saiyid Hamid Senior Secondary School stood second and third respectively.

Prof Aysha Munira (Department of English) shared tips on how practice and training can make good orators out of students.

She was in the panel of judges with Dr Tariq Aziz (Department of Business Administration).

Prof Mohammed Naved Khan (Department of Business Administration)—who is associated with the University Ranking Committee explained how debate competitions like these can help in university rankings.

Prof Feza Tabassum Azmi (Teacher-In-Charge, Literary and E-Magazine Committee) welcomed the students back to offline classes and activities after two years of Covid pandemic.

Prof Salma Ahmed (Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Research) attended the debate as a special guest.

Literary and E-magazine Committee Editor, Zainab Fatma Bilgrami and Co-Editor, Talha Jamal Khan with committee members helped oganising the debate contest.
