Debate, Quiz held to observe ‘World Health Day’

 

Aligarh : BDS student, Abeer Aftab won the debate contest on ‘It’s not Innovation in Health that matters but Execution’ of the University Debating and Literary Club (UDLC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

In the competition held to observe the ‘World Health Day’, Aisha Razi (BUMS) stood second and Md Shareef Alam (BUMS) and Vaibhav Vats Dwivedy (MBBS) finished third and fourth respectively.

Meanwhile, the team of final-year MBBS students, Mohammad Ali and Aatika won the quiz competition, while MBBS first-year students, Fatima Nadeem and Areeba Fatima finished second. Students from the University’s Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Dental College (ZADC) and Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College (AKTC) participated in the debate.

Dr Sadaf Fareed (President, UDLC) and Md Sabeeh Ahmed (Secretary, UDLC) delivered the welcome address.

Dr Ali Jafar Abedi (President, University Eco Club) presided over the competition and he also judged the debate competition with Abdul Sabur Kidwai (Commonwealth scholarship holder at the University of London).

The Muslim Social Upliftment Society, Sultan Jahan Manzil sponsored the prizes.
