DE&CC Kishtwar, JKRLM organises awareness program for members of SHGs

KISHTWAR : As a part of Good Governance Week themed around Prashasan Gaon ki Aur, District Employment & Counselling Centre, Kishtwar today organised an awareness program for female members of various SHGs registered with J&K NRLM at Chenab CLF-Panditgam.

About 50 Mahila SHG members took part in the camp held under the close supervision of AD Employment, Amit Kumar.

At the outset, the Assistant Director Employment briefed the participants about various self-employment opportunities available specifically for the women. He encouraged them to take benefit of the government schemes and percolate the information among other members and involve other women as well. He also briefed the gathering that the office of DE&CC was always ready to help any unemployed youth for career counselling and guidance and if any member of SHG requires help, she may call or contact office helpline number 01995-299301.

Followed by a detailed discussion about various Mission Youth Initiatives like Mumkin & Tejaswini, Employment Officer DE&CC Waseem Hassan talked about benefits, eligibility criteria and procedure of applications to avail benefits under these Schemes of Mission Youth J&K.

Among others, the program was also attended by Cluster Coordinator, Sapna Mehra & Young Professional DE&CC (MCC Kishtwar).

Besides, information pamphlets and copies of application forms for various Mission Youth schemes were also distributed among the members of SHGs.

Later, Cluster Coordinator, Sapna Mehra, thanked the Team of DE&CC for organising the awareness program at Cluster office.
