‘Deep learning and its applications’ program concludes at Amar Singh College
Srinagar: Week-long National Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Deep Learning and its Applications” concluded today at Amar Singh College, Srinagar.
The programme was organized by the Amar Singh College in collaboration with E&ICT, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and supported by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
As many as 42 research scholars, faculty members and students from various universities and colleges across India attend the program.
The programme was coordinated by Prof. Syed Ishfaq Manzoor and Dr. Syed Mutahar Aaqib of Department of Computer Sciences of the college.
Present on the occasion were Director AICTE, Dr. Anand Sharma, Consultant AICTE, Prof. Ajeet Angral, President, College Teachers Association, Prof. Tariq Ashai and the senior faculty members of the College.
On the occasion Director AICTE, Dr. Anand Sharma highlighted the schemes for faculty improvement and student exchange programmes.
Consultant AICTE, Prof. Ajeet Angral deliberated upon the importance of such programs for capacity building of the faculty and research scholars.
President, College Teachers Association, Prof. Tariq Ashai appreciated the organizers for organizing such a beneficial program and emphasized on conducting more such programs for overall development of the faculty.
Principal, Amar Singh College and Programme Director, Prof. Bashir Ahmad Rather also spoke on the occasion and laid stress on the importance and relevance of Artificial Intelligence in the contemporary world and said that such programs will be organized by the college, in future.
The proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Ms. Syeda Asma Hossieni and Mr. Malik Moin Abbas. The function concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Programme Co-ordinator, Dr. Syed Mutahar Aaqib.
