Delegations from Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and Jiangsu Pedagogical University Visit SPbPU
As a follow-up to the interaction initiated in October 2023 and to specify the directions of further work, a representative delegation of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University headed by Acting Rector Denis Fomin-Nilov visited Polytechnic University from 19 to 20 February 2024. The colleagues from KRSU took part in the jubilee events of our university, familiarized themselves with the campus, met with Rector of SPbPU Andrei Rudskoi and held a number of working meetings at Polytechnic institutes.
At the meeting with SPbPU Rector Andrei Rudskoi, a roadmap was signed in the area of Industrial and Civil, Road and Energy Construction and Environmental Safety. The heads of the universities confirmed the intention to launch several joint scientific and student projects in the field of engineering construction this year.
Polytechnic University is ready to implement specific joint projects, ready to offer KRSU its competencies not only in the field of civil engineering, but in general in all areas of advanced engineering education. We intend to work together to make KRSU a true cross-national cross-border university, a backbone university of Russian education and science abroad

During their acquaintance with Polytechnic University, the guests visited a number of scientific and educational departments, laboratories and centers of our university, which may be of the greatest interest for partnership, especially in areas related to the development of the Faculty of Science and Technology of KRSU.
Colleagues from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University also visited the Scientific and Educational Center «Nanotechnologies and Coatings» of IMM&T, where they got acquainted with applied tasks in the field of development of new materials, technologies of their reproduction and equipment, on which it is possible to replicate the results of developments.
In the afternoon, a working meeting of the KRSU delegation with the management and leading professors of the Institute of Civil Engineering was held. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss specific tools and mechanisms for implementing each of the seven activities of the roadmap. The activities provide for a lot of interesting and mutually beneficial work.

Also during the anniversary celebrations Polytechnic University was visited by representatives of one of its key partners in China — Jiangsu Normal University (JSNU). The representative delegation was headed by Rector Zhou Ruguang and included Li Yanlin, Director of the Joint Engineering Institute, Zhang Chao, Director of the Mathematical and Statistical Institute of JSNU, Wang Li, Deputy Director of the Joint Engineering Institute, and Wang Bo, Deputy Director of the International Relations Department.
The Joint Engineering Institute of Polytechnic University and Jiangsu Normal University is one of the largest implemented educational projects in the field of Russian-Chinese educational cooperation. The training of specialists at the Joint Institute is carried out by the faculty members of JSNU and SPbPU. The Joint Russian Language Center is based at the JSNU.
At the meeting with Rector Andrei Rudskoi, the partners discussed various aspects of cooperation, the work of the Joint Engineering Institute and the Russian Language Center, which has long been engaged in professional development of Russian language teachers and training of Chinese students.
Also, the subject of discussion was the expansion of the list of training areas for technical bachelor’s degree programs and the training of students in master’s degree programs in English to strengthen further scientific and educational cooperation.
