Delhi-based School student Uday Kiran Parida donates Piggy Banks savings to Odisha CM’s Relief Fund for Cyclonefani affected people

New Delhi: There is no joy bigger than the joy of giving. This sentiment was strongly demonstrated by Master Uday Kiran Parida, a class III student at Amrita Vidyalayam, New Delhi who came to the Office of the Principal Resident Commissioner on 8th May, 2019, with two colorful Piggy Banks.

He came to donate his entire savings of Rs. 5513/- (Rupees Five Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen) only towards Odisha’s Chief Minister Relief Fund. The young boy has been saving every penny to be able to visit an Amusement Park this summer. His gesture moved us beyond words. The compassion and belongingness showed by him is truly inspiring.

Uday is the only son of Shri Rashmi Ranjan Parida and Smt. Prachi Nayak who have instilled the values of selflessness and sharing at such a tender age. We wish Uday a very bright future and hope he continues to serve the society in his own unique ways.
