Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights Felicitates VidyaGyan Leadership Academy with Children’s Champion Award
New Delhi: VidyaGyan, a rural leadership academy for economically underserved, meritorious students in Uttar Pradesh, has been honoured with the prestigious Children’s Champion Award in the Education category. The award is instituted by the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR), Government of Delhi which strives to find, celebrate and incentivise the good work happening in the country for advancing child rights. The award was presented to VidyaGyan for identifying and nurturing students from underserved rural backgrounds into future leaders through high-quality education.
VidyaGyan leadership academy fosters learning based on participatory pedagogies and structures for social equality. It enables children to become genuine agents of change capable of responding to today’s challenges in a globalized world. DCPCR commended VidyaGyan for its commitment towards providing holistic education, access to world-class facilities and excellent educators who act as mentors to its students. The institution has been transforming middle school education and young minds through a noteworthy spectrum of initiatives and efforts.

All our alumni go on to pursue and complete higher education from leading Indian and international educational institutes. Some of them are now employed with leading organizations in India and USA. We will continue to empower and elevate meritorious students.”
The award ceremony served as a platform to recognize individuals and institutions who have contributed substantially to the cause of the children. Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights recognizes institutions that implement the best practices of teaching for the development of young minds thereby promoting the overall educational standards in India. The awards are conferred in the 12 categories i.e. Politics, Jurist, Journalism, Education, Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Art, Academia, Sports, Business and Public Service.
